“Help! I’m in Pain!”

If dogs could speak and tell us why they ended up homeless in a shelter, this is what they’d say.

Waylon would tell his story of abandonment because of perceived aggression. He was deemed untouchable in a busy shelter and isolated out of necessity. While in his foster home, Hard Knocks discovered he had severe dental decay resulting in a whopping 24 teeth extractions. Once his medical needs were addressed, his aggression waned.

According to NCPPSP, 4% of the dogs surrendered are due to Pet Illness(es).

Waylon came to Hard Knocks February 2019 and found his forever home in February 2020.
